The new Lad-Saf X2 is very similar to the original. It provides hands free fall protection during ladder climbing, and it also features primary and secondary locking systems to make sure falls stop within inches. The X2 can be installed with just one hand, it can be used for both climbing or descending, and it is corrosion resistant.
The Lad-Saf X2 is intended for use with the Lad-Saf Fixed Ladder Safety System (a permanent system) or any other vertical system that employs 3/8″ or 5/16″ steel core cable. The Lad-Saf X2 installs and detaches easily anywhere along a lifeline and it attaches to securely to a harness thanks to a Saflok steel carabiner. A built-in energy absorber limits fall arrest forces to 1350 lbs and a fall indicator alerts the user when the Lad-Saf X2 needs to be removed from service.
The Lad-Saf X2 has a capacity of 310 lbs and meets ANSI A14.3-1992. It is ideal for use by workers who are required to frequently climb fixed ladders–like telecom, wind energy and other utility workers.
You know that if it’s made by Capital Safety that it has to be a high-quality piece of fall equipment. The Lad-Saf X2 is another example of that.
