The Lad-Saf Cable Sleeve has always been an excellent fall protection tool. But Capital Safety has just made it even better. The new Lad-Saf X2 is similar to the original, providing hands free fall protection during ladder climbing, but it also features primary and secondary locking systems to ensure that a fall stops within inches. It’s extremely easy to install with just one hand, can be used for climbing or descending, and is designed to be corrosion resistant.
The Lad-Saf X2 is for use with the permanently installed Lad-Saf Fixed Ladder Safety System or any other vertical system that utilizes 3/8″ or 5/16″ steel core cable. The Lad-Saf X2 installs and detaches quickly and easily anywhere along the lifeline and it attaches to securely to a harness by using a durable Saflok steel carabiner. A built-in energy absorber limits fall arrest forces to 1350 lbs and a fall indicator alerts the user when it should be taken out of service.
It has a capacity of 310 lbs and meets ANSI A14.3-1992. The Lad-Saf X2 is ideal for use by those whose job requires them to frequently climb fixed ladders like wind energy, telecom and other utility workers.
That’s the news on the latest innovation from Capital Safety in a nutshell. You know that if it’s from Capital Safety that it has to be a high-quality piece of fall equipment. The Lad-Saf X2 is no different.
